Please allow me to respond to a few of the last postings in this
group. I think that is better than responding to each one, especially
for the "modem folks" out there.

Regarding the Oisboid Bash: I would be available for 08/24. So, we
are considering a Junta game? I would like to offer to make Cuban
food for the event: Roasted chicken, plantains (watch it, Dean!),
black beans, and rice. Provided, of course, that the kitchen is open.

Regarding the Non-savant idiot president: Yes, Joy, you are correct!
I was NOT thinking of a certain Mr. Harding, but rather someone more
recent...

Regarding the Survival rebuttal which I wrote after Dean's
offensively incorrect story: I in fact DID write that. For reasons
which I cannot fathom, I have been asked if I was the genuine author
of that *extremely accurate* reportage of Survival. Yes, yes, and
YES! It was penned by none other than myself. If at any time you see
something which has been supposedly written by me, and you are
uncertain of its veracity, you simply must check the *quality* of the
writing. I have *extremely* high standards when it comes to these
things. I adhere strictly to the "Four Tenets of Good Writing", to
wit:

1) Excessive Use of the Passive Voice
2) Needless Words and Phrases
3) Vagueness
4) Bombastic Pomposity

This style of writing has kept me in good stead to this date.
