Thanks for creating singular/plural consistency between the two sentences.
However, I would move the word "even." I'd also kill the exlamation mark at
the end:
The Russian Mafie are also of course operating all over the world,
and not just in Russia. You may even find some of them in Los Angeles.
(I have this sense that a number of people are sighing and looking at their
watches just about now.)
