Career change

As several of you know already, Berlitz GlobalNET, my employer of the
past 9+ years, was sold to Bowne Global Solutions at the end of
September.

In the aftermath of that decision, Bowne has decided to shut down the
Santa Monica office and layoff or relocate the staff here. I was
offered relocation to Montreal, which I politely declined (they speak
French there, but I hear it gets a bit chilly).

My last day here will be November 15 (though I may stay on for a
short while afterward to help with the transition), and then I will
be back out in the job market.

While I am deeply saddened to lose the wonderful work environment
I've had for all these years, a fresh start will be a very good thing
for my career. I'm getting decent severance, which should allow me a
little time to find a job I want rather than a job I need.

Please delete any Berlitz or Bowne email addresses you may have for
