Have to weigh in...

If an Internet course is the only way to get what you need that I think you should do it John.

But I feel about Internet courses the same way I feel about home schooling, and this is for adults as well as kids. Part of education IS interacting with classmates and the give and take that entails. And whether it is in a practical or abstract course.

Sorry to be so 20th Century, but actually being there is still the best way to go if you can possible manage it.

  John,
Don't know if this will help. I haven't taken a
full-up college course, but I did complete an online
driver's ed class (to rid my record of an evil
speeding ticket). It allowed you any amount of time
to finish it, which was nice. But unless you're
sufficiently motivated or interested, online education
might not be such a great idea. Fortunately, in this
case, the motivation was definitely there!

P.S. No more ticket on my record. *phew*
