Is this audience member "unudentified"?
What I heard was that Mark Burnett made this famous comment after MIV
had been screened at Barnum Hall during the lunch hour on June 6th,
1979. (It was a Wednesday, by the way...)
It was an unfortunate showing, since the 47-minute movie was too long
for the tiny portion of time alloted for lunch, so DC decided to
excise one of the scenes. By the time he figured out which one and
removed it (the restuarant scene), the film got a late start. As a
result, people had to leave Barnum Hall while the movie was still
playing - right at the confrontation between the vampire and Lt.
Palumbo!
