The bulldozer incident is tragic - no question - but as Mike so
frothingly pointed out there's protesting, and there's protesting with
a little safety sense.
I drive a big gas guzzling Suburban; I need to what with up to 8
people that get shlepped around. Mike mentioned that if I drove my
Burb up to the PC Bay Area the car would probably get egged or
scratched.
But if one person decided to protest my choice of vehicle by zipping
in front of me on the freeway with their Volvo or multi-colored VW
Minivan and slamming on his brakes. Guess what? I'd be plucking PC Car
remains out of my front bumper.
When a person believes in a cause SOOO MUCH that rationality takes a
back seat, that's called Fanaticism. In case you-all haven't noticed
Joy and I have been having a back-and-forth (SHUT UP, you sex-crazed
weasels) about Gulf War 2 and we both hold our opinions strongly.
Am I a FANATIC believer? No, I don't think so. There are plenty of
possibilities that could change my mind about the war in Iraq. Am I
going to start protesting outside of Joy's front door? No, (unless she
invites us all in for dinner) because who knows. Maybe Joy will have
had a bad day and wants to blow off steam by doing some double-odd
target practice. Believe me, folks, I've seen her in survival, she can
occasionally hit the broadside of even a stick like myself.
And now that I got the topic over to Survival (whew) my son Adam
wanted to know why we don't play any more? We told him about the BB
guns (he got very excited) and how it's illegal (he got very
disappointed). He said they play with detachable ribbons. You get a
person's ribbon off them. They're dead for a period of time. Hmmmmmmm.
(But the game would stil require movement - arrghhh).
