Thanks. I actually did do this several times when talking with several
co-protestors today.

Other stuff: Got into a nasty confrontation BEFORE the rally with some whiny
Puke (let's put it this way -- it was the classic namecalling/baiting
tactic, followed by taking on the Righteous Victim identity when I reacted
to the slur.) Had a decent, civilized debate AFTER the rally with an
intelligent Leftist ADULT.

Oh, the rally itself? About 1,000 people showed up. LOTS of Latinos; they
are to our corner of America what the Southerners are elsewhere: an
honor-bound warrior culture. I carried my DON'T TREAD ON ME flag (the only
one!), and got a few pics taken of me. Met some people from FreeRepublic
that I only knew by screen names. And yes -- I DID chant "U-S-A!" It felt
weird, but these are weird times.

It was hot and sunny today. Believe me, I'd much rather have been smoking
pot at Baker Beach, but I felt I to attend to show my support for the troops
and our Commander-in-Chief (he's not "Dubya" for the duration; I think war
transcends partisan politics).
