I've been eating lots of pasta this week, which is my middle-age idea of
partying it up . . . very sad, if you think too hard about it.

I still haven't adjusted to this four-decade thing. And we all have
"character" around our eyes. Hell--some of us seem to have character all
over. On the flip side, we're mostly wealthier, and definitely
smarter/sneakier/craftier and more dangerous than we ever were in our 20s
and 30s. So there you go.
