Hmmn, and I thought I was answering some of those questions kinda
centrist ... There were also a few that I answered more left, but I
assumed they cancelled each other out ...
Economic Left/Right: -6.88
Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.21
(For those who weren't on the original cc list, I include the results of
some friends who've taken the test.)
(And Reweaving thought I wasn't liberal enough ... Of course, I thought
they were downright authoritarian in their liberalism, but I guess that
is part of the idea that would classify each of these as a circle rather
than a line (i.e., how dare you not agree with the majority on my right
to do X). Hey, Lenny, what did you score?)

Click on "Take the test". I got this off a link from Mike's Blog site
so blame him.
If this link has been done before then ignore it. The Chatsworth heat
has melted the remnants of this old brain.
Anyway, looks like me and the Dolly Llama have some talking to do.
Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: -2.75
Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.77
The sites recommended books for my quadrant include some old favorites
(Orwell, Paine, and Michael Moore) but they leave out Max Stirner -
pity.

You are wrong, O Underfed One. I never saw this test until you linked
to it.
Here's MY profile:
Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: -0.88
Libertarian/Authoritarian: -1.49
Pretty much as I expected, really...just one square in the
Libertarian-Left direction away from dead center. The closest public
figure to me is Jean Chretien of Canada.

Hm.
I got:
Economic: -6.12
Lib/Auth: -4.82
Supposedly, this puts me somewhere near the coordinates of Gandhi and
Mandela. Not too shabby, I suppose.
I appreciated that Saddam Hussein was on the compass, but regret I did
not get very near his coordinates.

Boy, my bleeding heart/social freedom tendencies came out strong:
Economic Left/Right: -6.00
Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.82
More taxes for the rich! more government spending! Keep the
government out of my personal life!
