Smashing-but-subdued. It was slightly more intimate than the last
few Halloween parties, which was great for those of us who feel a bit
stressed from work pressures (or, in my case, freelance-marketing
pressures).

John T. started out the evening in his "Colonel Mustard" outfit, wearing
a smoking jacket and a well-waxed moustache (curled up at the ends).
Toward the end of the evening he changed into two more costumes, each
as fine as the last (but I'll hold the details in case he wants to
recycle getups #2 and 3).

John M. and I came as Tai Cheese. (It was a concept thang--a martial arts
pun. We wore our martial arts outfits and carried large chunks of cheese.)

Joya and Bob brought the young 'un, who was dressed as a dinosaur and seemed
to handle all the extra attention/stimulation just fine.

Caroline was a cowgirl, and the Oisboid kids were a "scream," a wizard, and
a dragon. DC was Minnie Mouse. Lenny came as himself.

It was all perfectly lovely.

How was the party?

I'm sorry we couldn't make it this year. With Tamara moving in next
weekend, we haven't had much free time.
