Chatsworth fires

Latest update from this part of town...

We saw flames earlier on the mountains to our west and plenty of smoke
to the north of us. The Santa Anas kept Chatsworth fire-free for a
while by blowing everything back towards Simi but with the winds
shifting the fire came right over the ridge. It looks like the fire
will skirt Chatsworth proper as it always does because:

-Chatsworth is mostly rocks.

-North is Chatsworth is housing development - nothing but dirt.

-The porno industry won't allow fires unless there's an orgy involved.

The Chuck Manson/Spahn Ranch hangout may get charred (it is a condo
complex BTW located on the Santa Susana Pass). The Church-On-The-Hill
may see some hell-flames. Porter Ranch may be threatened but I think
the fire will head north towards Fillmore / Piru and die out.

In any case, we're in good shape though I have a mighty hankerin' for
BBQ...
