You're absolutely right, it's an absolute celebrity crime bonanza
right now. I think my favorite is the Robert Blake trial, since he so
clearly thinks he is Baretta, or a character from that series. Or
maybe from Columbo. Every time he opens his mouth, I can see the
noose tightening (if you forgive the anachronism).
Of course, what we're missing is something with the dopey (pun
intended) charm of Nate Newton being stopped with 100s of pounds of
marijuana in his trunk (hey, he's a big guy, maybe it was for
personal use...).
