Blogs (primarily for Joy)

No, I'm not going to blather on about how many hits I have. I have a
very loyal readership going (thanks Mom!).

Anyway. zBlogger pooped out on me again and so I went looking for a
backup to Blogger. My only concern was price - it had to be free (gosh
Ozzy, you cheap bastard, what a surprise!).

And so here is a nutshell of my findings for those who don't want to
read the semi-assed full review on my blog site.

Blogger - rules! That's it. I couldn't find anything better, easier,
more reliable, faster, or more customizable. This site had the whole
package AND I have *two* RSS feeds going off of it.

zBlogger - was nice but now is seemingly dead or comatose. I liked its
easy customization but reliability killed this bird.

eBloggy and blog-city are both pretty nice to use and easy to
customize. EIther are recommended for backup mirrors.

BlogDrive and LiveJournal are functional but not the easiest to
customize.

So (Joy) please think twice before abandoning Blogger. It is the best
free site out there. Oh my, you weren't thinking of *paying* for a
blog space...no, no, no. That won't do...

Ozzy

BTW, keeping 6 blogs in synch is a royal pain but I want to see what
kind of hits each generates and what kind of communities interact with
each site. Eventually I'll close most of them down though I did notice
that *NONE* of them had any obvious way of shutting down accounts.
