Ooops...

My last missive somehow was truncated...

In case anyone cares, I was saying:

In 'Retik, the Moon Menace', I noticed that when the Earthlings
captured the moonman, they were able to speak English with him, and
fed him something that looked like meat and potatoes while they
interrogated him. He seemed to especially like the potatoes.
Eventually he made a break for it, and they had to kill him.

Also: There is another gem called 'The Purple Monster from Mars',
again made in the early 1950s. This is a very unremarkable movie
plotwise, but it does have very young Leonard Nimoy playing the role
of one of the Martians.
