re: old gig
Depends on which one you mean. Berlitz's translation division got
bought out by Bowne Global Solutions, and the Santa Monica office was
shut down. I was offered relocation to mOntreal, which I politely
declined (fun city, French-speaking, but COLD and too far away). Thus
unemployment... Until I found a gig as Director of Operations with a
small translation firm in Westlake Village (Agnew Tech-II) -- fun, a
great group of people, but the commute was hideous and there was very
little future, so I kept looking and found this position.
So far, this has been great, and incredibly challenging.
How are things up by the Bay?
