I think Spain was the Basque separatists, doing the deed but sort of
"framing" Muslims in an attempt to throw investigators off the track.

I cannot understand how any group could mastermind something like
that. You think that someone out there would feel more sympathetic to
their cause, just because a couple hundred innocent people are killed
while going to work????????
More likely, some other looney person or group will now go about
getting revenge. If I were Muslim, I would avoid visiting any mosques
for the next several days...
