if by 'cooked' you mean turning something that cannot be eaten raw into
something that can be eaten (grain is not eaten raw, vegetables usually can
be although some are pretty nasty raw) Anyone actually EATEN raw potatos?
Can you? I know some tubers like tapioca are poisonous if eaten raw. (and
WHO got sick after eating it raw and figured out to cook it?!)

Are french fries always batter coated? I thought they often were just
sliced, sometimes dusted with flavorings and always deep fried.
