All I can think is "Sunscreen... lots and LOTS of sunscreen." I am so glad
Burning Man takes place, it pleases me to know it's there even if I never go
in person.

Well, last night was the burn, and an amazing party it was.
Carlye and the other rangers formed this circle around the
man to keep people back while the pyrotechnic guys lit
fireworks and started the finale. Fire dancers filled the
circle twirling their fire wands. As we were heading back
to camp, a guy started a modified rocket engine that
deflected the flames straight up, and probably threw the
earth slightly off course in the process. He added chemicals
to change the color of the flame and drew a huge crowd.
We broke camp this morning to begin our trip back to LA.
Got a popped tire fixed in Reno, then checked into a hotel
in Bishop and dined at Denny's. It was wonderful finally
taking real showers!
I'll send out the last few photos as before, and by the
grace of Debbie, they might end up with the others on the
Olive website:

Since we missed tonight's big temple burn, go to the
http://www.burningman.com website and look for the 2004
photo gallery for 2004.
