I have invitations for five Google Mail accounts; if anyone wants a Gmail account, please let
me know (also, let me know what name you want used; the format is
firstname.lastname, so if you'd prefer a nickname it should be in two parts that can be
divided by a period in your address).
These accounts are free, and come with a few gigs of storage built-in. The idea is you
don't have to file your mail when you get it; you just search for the mail you want. All mail
threads are considered "conversations," and the system sorts them for you and keeps
them together. (Google's policies re: privacy in Gmail are controversial. You might want to
Google "gmail + privacy" [oh, the irony] to find out what's being said.)
First-come, first-served. E-mail me. (Or tell John T, which is sometimes faster.)
Can someone recommend this to Joya? It might be a good way to get an additional account
set up for her and Bob, if they decide that would be useful. That way, she could once more
get digests of what goes on in these bulletin boards, and would be able to pile on about
issues like how boring John's "Samohi reunion" post was.
