Greeting from Las Vegas

11:24 Saturday night. I should be alseep but I'm trying to clean up my
brother's PC. It's amazing how much crap gets on a PC that is
connected to the Internet without an antivirus program, without a
firewall, with browsers that are unconfigured.

Put on Firefox 1.01 (new version - yay!). Installed ZoneAlarm - stop
dem nasties from coming in. Installed ad-aware - byebye spyware! But
not Norton - it doesn't like ZoneAlarm.

Yesterday I slept in and then went to the Orleans hotel with the bro
to see his school in the NIAA basketball playoffs. Well, OK, I snuck
out to see "Sideways" - AWESOME FILM!! (It had color AND sound!!!)

Today we broke even at the Rio sports book, playing the horsies from
9:30 until 2:30.

Mind you I've had a terrible bronchial cough for the past week.
Everyone who sat near me at the book smoked. Noone of them bet - they
just sat there and smoked. What to do? I couldn't politely ask them to
not smoke around me; they'd think I was some kind of Liberal
California wacko who wastes his time blogging. I considered peeing on
their smokes but standing on the table to do so would've been
embarrasing. Glaring at them didn't work. But coughing loudly, hawking
into a napkin and boasting about the gooey yellow chunks did the trick!

We went back to his house so he could nap. I watched "The Cooler" on
cable - great film!!!

For dinner we went for cajun at a place that my bro swore was awesome,
except the restaurant had recently switched to middle eastern fare.
Scratch cajun.

So we went to a BBQ joint which my brother swore was awesome. They
were closed. Scratch BBQ.

We went to Hooters. Hey, the bro said a beer would do me good, for
medicinal purposes you understand. (Miss you HST!) The beer with a
plate of 911 chicken strips and I'm leaking from all orifices.

But tomorrows Sunday. Got to return home to wife, kids, and work. Got
to figure out a way to remove the stink of deathsticks from my new
jacket. Got to not whimper when I realize my next vacation may not be
until 2006.
