Ah...the cynicism of middle age :)

1. I can see that you have not been a teenager for a while. On the subject
of homosexuality, trust me, kids, especially boys, do not want to stand out.
Doing schoolwork , which they have to do every day, is better than being
considered a "fag". Defying a teacher is no big deal. they do it every day
and every way. Besides, much of the work that they will do on
any given day is written. It did not get them out of their school
assignments.

2. Even IF many of the kids were being opportunistic, the die has been cast.
There is safety in numbers, and nearly 300 kids have "spoken" There is no
going back.
