I think that movie was called "Savage Island". It was a Euro-trash
movie made in the early 1970s. Ms. Blair's scenes used as the
"wrap-around" about 10 years later.

I love this term "wrap around". It is used by some movie fans to
describe the fine art of taking an old and forgotten piece of junk,
and then having some modern parts inserted at the beginning and the end.

The best example of this is the utterly awful "Curse of Bigfoot". Here
was a black and white movie made in the mid 1950s about a group of
highschoolers who go off to the forest and die one by one. Some weird
caveman is killing them off. Total rubbish, and very dated. Then in
1976, someone decided to re-release the movie. It starts in color,
with a nerdy college professor who tells his class about a terrible
trip he took long ago into the forest. He said he was the one survivor
who could still function. The only other survivor is still being
treated in an asylum somewhere... As he relates more, we suddenly
switch to b&w and this older movie starts...

Now of course, the viewer is tempted to look for a nerdy kid, someone
who resembles this professor, but about 20 years younger? Well, he is
strangely not there among this group. Stranger still, at the end of
the movie, every kid dies. There are no survivors at all!!

Gotta love these things. :-)
