No joke. When Mike first played this song for me about 30 years ago,
it was still somewhat the infancy of Punk and New Wave. This song was
like cutting edge though maybe shocking to the delicate ears of parents.
Funny thing is my reaction now to this song is exactly the same as
then: That's one awful sax! Yet there's a perverse charm to the song
that brings me back even after all these years.
Yo Mike. What did your parents think about the music you listened to
back then? They must have heard some weird stuff back then. Especially
when I made you play certain songs (like this one) over and over. Did
they think we were crazy?
