My 8 really reflect my professional leanings and a bit of my youth:

1. Ben Franklin- I want to ask "with you've got going on, why 13 year old boys?"
2. Oscar Wilde-After Earnest and Dorian why Salame?
3. Carl Rogers-just to pick his brain on how to create a revolution.
4. Albert Bandura- to fully understand his theories
5. Joan Jett- I realise that she's still with us, but she and I haven't had a confab in many a year and never a serious one. Now that we're middle-aged I bet we could actually have a great serious conversation about music, life...
6. Abraham Maslow-I want to hear more about this elusive 1%!
7. Dorthea Dix-champion and reformer I want tips
8. Jesus Christ-I've read so much of his work I'd like to hear what he REALLY meant for myself.

My 8:

John Steinbeck - of course.
William Shakespeare - to clear up any mysteries about authorship.
Mozart - to have some nice party music.
Leonardo - To clear up a few mysteries about hidden symbolism in his work.
Jesus Christ - To clear up a few mysteries about exactly what he preached.
Mary Magdalene - For the female perspective with J.C.

Final 2 - you'll never guess.

George Carlin - If you have J.C. at the table, you have to have
George, plus I want to hear him say to Leonardo "You're a FAAAAAAAAG!"

Finally...

Great-Grandfather Oisboid - to provide a link from what I know about
my grandfather to other relatives, to hear about his father and
grandfather, and where they're from.

So I'm sentimental. ..
