The plumbing and heating both did work, long ago. Jim Clancy and I put
in extensive repairs in 1991. But over years of subsequent neglect,
things gradually failed.
It's a beautiful building. How sad that it will be torn down. But when?
I visited the old place last week. The landlord has torn out the pipes
in the kitchen area. It looks like he is going to rent the place out
again.
