I'm sure on some level I agree with you, and that's why I've never fully
"authed" anything. David L. points out that once one finishes, it just goes
to one's friends for review anyway, so one is never really committed until
the thing is typeset.
And then I suppose one could revise it, anyway . . . it's just that I don't
like making decisions. It always seems preferable to sit around wringing my
hands.
