What's extraordinary is not so much the song, though I could probably listen
to it all day. (Paul turned me on to it, by the way, back when we weren't
speaking to each other and he hated me, but Keith thought I should call him
and cheer him up just the same, which of course I did. He [Paul] told me to
listen to the Ziggy Stardust album, and he was right.])
No: it's about Bowie's face on the album cover, which one has a few minutes
to look at as this isn't a real music video: just a studio version of the
song from some "best of" compilation: his laugh lines look so much like
Coonsie's that it's just amazing. The picture was clearly taken at least
five years after Ziggy, and probably more like 10-15. Anyone want to look it
up?
Dave? A new tagline for ArtScans?--"Colbert's eyebrows, Bowie's mouth"?
