I remember that. That's why Stormin' Norman kicked our asses
with The Touch of Death--and no gun.

Ahem. I was actually joking, since I tended to bring PB & J. The
Cuban food afterward, however, was a different story. Yum!

A hike and a picnic would be fun.
And, John, someday we might try to get a crowd together and go
to one of those paint war places. If we had enough people, we
might be able to take the place over. We just can't make war at
Nicholas Flats--we have to take our nature-appreciation and our
warmongering separately.
One thing about N.F.--we rarely got over by that pond, which is
pretty. I'm sure it's nicer in the wintertime, though.
The trick with the hike is that it would be best--really best--if there
were a designated driver, a sort of rotating
volunteer-of-the-month, who would drop us off at PCH and then
take the car and picnic stuff up around to the Flats and meet us
there for the end of the hike. Maybe several people, of course, if
there are several cars. They could be the coffee klatsch crowd,
and rotate within households/carpool groups.
