I actually knew about the Davis attack on Riordon, but found it distasteful
to rant about what amounts to free speech, however sleazily it's being used.
So I transferred my attention to the open primaries, thinking they made a
much better target. I hadn't heard they'd been shut down, and I thought they
came in by referendum, so that's interesting.

That's one of the conventional interpretations, and I hope the Dems run with
it ;)
