Internet College Courses

Hello, everyone. I have a quick question...

Has anyone here ever taken a college extension course over the
Internet? I am considering doing this, but wonder how effective it
might be. (Obviously, there are certain courses where this is not
practical, such as foreign languages. In my case, I am looking into
something like accounting or economics.)

I am not talking about getting a law degree in the mail, but just
taking a course, or two. :-)

Nowadays, it seems a lot of courses are offered over the Internet,
and my life would be a lot simpler if I could do it this way. But
somehow, without the personal interaction, I am really left wondering
about it. Any input that anyone has would be welcome. Any one of you
ever done this?

PS Sorry not to have posted any responses in a while. I was asked by
some kind folks about my new job. I promise to post something soon.
