For the record, I am against what the Baseball Hall of Fame did, but I find
it ironic when applied to Tim Robbins who has been known to be extremely
intolerant of freedom of speech of those who disagree with him. I will never
forget how he was literally screaming at at Gore supporter when he was
backing Nader, ( btw..enabling GWB to be elected)
And, I don't address this at you David, but I find it difficult to
comprehend the stance of many "liberals" anymore. Let's face it, a tyrant
was removed and most of the Iraqi people were grateful. The civilian toll
was realtively low. Saddam did not lauch Scuds at Israel. We did not have
house-to house battles in Baghdad We who opposed the war were just wrong in
many of our predictions... I can admit that.
Why can't we just feel good about this? ( Oh, but look how they are
looting???? ) Gimme a break It seems that many of us liberals are scraping
for excuses that we were wrong
And as for how we can still maintain our membership in polite liberal
society, I forward this excellent article sent by Joy which I think
justifies the thinking behind many of Bush' actions in the world
