This has actually occurred to me. There's less travel for a bunch
of the old Samohi crowd, and a shorter trip for people like Greg and
his wonderful wife and young kids. (They are in Georgia; he's a prof at
Georgia Tech, as I recall. Someone correct me if I've got the wrong
institution, or some other embarrassing thing.)
I thought Susan Crawford had outgrown us--gone off and become an adult, or
some crazy thing like that. (Stop laughing at me, Keith!) My favorite
Susan quote, from an old log, goes something like this (close paraphrase):
"Keith, I realize that I'm an uptight, conservative, basically square
person.
I will express this knowledge of myself the following way: GET A HAIRCUT."
'Twasn't bad, for a 17-year-old.
Domingo is going to be in town in late June, and wanted to have an evening
with the old crowd. How sad it was to tell him that he was stuck with John,
DC, possibly Jennifer Mandel, and Keith-only-if-he-has-the-stomach-for-it.
All the olives are in the Bay Area or on the East Coast. I would feel uncool
if I didn't have coolness in my very mitochondria (someone fix my spelling,
if necessary).
