Re: The Great CA-CA Debate
Hiram,
I have to agree with you on several points. However:
1. Arnie Baby. He wasn't just an actor. I believe he is sincere.
However, I don't think he's got any clue how to run a government. Yes,
he is very determined. (And I thought his closing argument was
actually a GOOD thing: "I can accomplish whatever I set my mind to do.
") But he was all generalities and no specifics.
2. Mc Clintock. Straight man. I give him my utmost respect. He is
sincere, honest, and has very carefully considered plans on how to get
things done. He knows the system and can finally make it work.
However, I don't agree with all of his goals. No vote from me.
3. King Camejo-mejo. (I apologise. He didn't deserve that at all.) Is
he living in a world slightly different than the rest of us? Some of
his viewpoints and solutions didn't sound related to the current
California situation. Good debater, definite plans for improving
things, as he sees them. I don't agree with him.
4. Ms. Aireanna. As I told Ozzy before the debate, she's going to be
the harridan. She was. More interested in attacking than making
herself look good. Very entertaining, but not a leader. Bye bye.
5. Tom Slick. Mr. Bustamonte was in terrific form tonight. Smirking
at everyone whenever they interrupted him as if to say, "I can wait
while you make a fool of yourself." Answering the questions - AFTER
pushing his agenda first. I thought his closing 2-minute statement was
very good. "I came from a poor family, etc., etc." But I've also
heard the other things he's said, and not just at this 5-ring circus.
I believe he knows the value of a dollar - in his own pocket. I can't
see things improving too much under him.
Which leaves...what? Back to Davis? 'Fraid so. I'm voting against the
recall.
Can anyone convince me otherwise? PLEASE?!?!?
