Re: Bush campaign slogans

Thank you, Mike, for the "rebuttal".

It gets a little tiring for those of us who criticize the current
administration to be told "Oh yeah? Well, Saddam Hussein was SO MUCH
WORSE. You should have lived in Iraq!"

The evidence is overwhelming that Hussein's regime in Iraq was worse
than what we have in the USA. To compare them is unfair. A better
comparison would be to compare Iraq with Syria. Or Iran. Or
Afghanistan. Or with a number of countries in the Middle East, or
Africa. Tragic, but true...

Even with that made clear, I still feel that I have a right to
criticize our current administration. They brought us into a war for
apparently false reasons, we are losing American soldiers nearly every
day, and there is a huge bill being prepared for us to pay for it.

Just like Vietnam, we went in on a lie. There is no convincing reason
that Hussein was connected with 9/11. There apparently are no WMDs in
Iraq. I, for one, would be DELIGHTED if a link between Hussein and
9/11 were found, and then a whole bunch of WMDs were discovered. We'd
still be stuck with the bill, but at least we would feel better about
having gone in there.

And I also hope they catch Hussein, and Osama for that matter.

Just my $.02.

John
