seems like one of the big lessons of the recent circus is,
we should have Instant Runoff Voting, statewide, now.

i doubt it would have changed the outcome this time. so
maybe IRV just makes us feel better without really doing
anything. but maybe, in an IRV world, we wouldn't have
gotten into this recall in the first place: even with
Simon winning the primary, those who preferred Riordan
over Davis might well have carried the day.
Davis and Simon were pretty bad candidates. but in the
"things have gotten to the point" department, when
DNE said
> Three years of Governor Gangbang.
... i honestly wasn't sure which candidate he was
talking about (Mary Carey or Ahnold).
