Huh. Underground might work better. Or concrete with rebar. The
'shielding tile' I heard of was an accoustic tile that was found to have
cell signal insulating properties; they apparently didn't expect it to do
that. My guess is it's a honeycomb texture that's most effective, or
stucco-like. I wonder what will happen when micro-gee manufacturing
environments are available and it's possible to alloy lead and aluminum. If
you could make it into a foam (with nitrogen, perhaps?) you might have the
perfect shielding material.

I can tell you from personal experience that you need a fuckload (that's the
technical term
for "shitload") of shielding to keep cell phone signals out. We have a
special shielded
room, with solid copper plates in walls floor and ceiling, designed for
recording tiny
electrical signals in the brain in an environment free of electrical noise.
Amazingly, I can
still get 2-bars worth of T-mobile signal in there...
