Objective opinion:

First Debate : Kerry slam dunk

Second : Wash

Third: Respectable Kerry victory


Why do I think Kerry "won" last night? Because GWB had his smirk on his face nearly THE WHOLE EVENING!

Not real good for Dubya when un/underemployed people see him smirking when not only Kerry, but Bob Schieffer, are citing bad economic data. That coming after Treasury Sec. John Snow says that job loss numbers are a "myth."

The above alone could lose Ohio for the Prez.

Now it gets really nasty.

Bush will try to do two things:

Invoke 9/11 every chance he gets

Say that Kerry is OUT OF THE MAINSTREAM..... (WHY DO CONSERVATIVES ALWAYS DO THAT???? IT IS THE MODERN EQUIVALENT OF BANISHING ONE FROM THE TRIBE. IN OTHER WORDS, IF YOUR ARE NOT A CONSERVATIVE, THEN YOU ARE A WEIRDO)

This election could go either way, easily. Bush's approval ratings are below 50%. This is dicey for him and he knows it.

Anyone who is predicting a winner today is a fool. Anyone who predicts that the next weeks will be easy is certifiable.
