I also remember it well. The "Z Channel" was offered by "Theta Cable",
which produced a monthly glossy magazine, complete with commentary on
the movies.
It was in 1976 when we got "Z". A disappointment overall, since they
showed at most three movies per week. Box office hits?? They were
mostly unknowns. And boring. And let it be known that I have nothing
against "independent movies".
We terminated our subscription in 1978...
