Another advantage of the "two vote" system is it gives a clear
indication of what We The People really are looking for in a
candidate. Not just the Lesser of Two Weevils. I like clear
indications. 52% is not a mandate. It is a message: yes, you won.
Yes more people wanted you than the other guy. But quite a few people
did not want you back.

Ozzy once suggested an interesting twist on this idea. When filling
out tax forms (ugh, sorry I brought it up at all), there should be
this one column asking us what percentage of our tax dollars should go
to which part of the government: infrastructure, police, hospitals,
education, defense, welfate, social security, and so on. Even if the
money is not actually sent to those specific areas in those specific
proportions, at least Our Glorious Government Workers will finally get
the idea what We The People want them to do with OUR money. Not
theirs. Ours.
