Here we are up in Pine Mountain shivering in the sub-freezing air: 3
boys, 2 she-males, and an Amazon, It rained and snowed a bit on the
way up but we skidded and slid our way to our cabin under a brisk
clear sky. Stars, we can see stars - and not because we're being
perpetually pelted with snow by 3 munchkins who really need to get
their butts into bed.
The cabin is not the cunninglarium by any stretch but it is cozy. 2
stories with a bunk-bed and two queens.Deb and I get a queen and DC,
of course, gets a...STOP LAUGHING JOHN!!!
All the rooms have heaters EXCEPT OURS so I have to choose between
snuggling next to Debbie and possibly freezing, or sneaking down to
DC's warm inviting room and sharing his bed. What a choice. Be (cold
and intact) or (warm and dead).
(DEB: Don't worry Dean, I've gotten my toes nice and frozen marching
to and from the car without any shoes on...)
Jason found a snowboard. Oh no!
(DEB) No washer/dryer. No DSL. ELECTRIC stove, not gas. No heater
in MY bedroom. I hate this place. OK, it's got three of the neatest
closet/storage "rooms", including a mini one in the kids' room which
has two boxes of Legos.
What altitude does water start changing behaviour (boiling) again?
(DEAN) DC's talking about buffers....
(DC) Shaddup Dean!
(DEAN) But his buffers are OK, folks. He poured boiling water on them...
Well, we're hoping for more snow tomorrow but if it doesn't we'll hike
into town and harass the locals.
'til tomorrow...Good Night!!!
