Cabin Trip #4 (or was it 3?)
Well, we made it home. I wanna go back. It was nice and quiet. We
walked into town every day. At night it snowed just a little bit.
Sunshine during the day melted the driveway by 2 pm at the latest.
Baking was pretty decent after all. Some sweet potato buiscuits, some
chocolate chip pancakes...Good thing brown sugar works fine in those
recipes. I even found a set of measuring spoons, although a single
1/2 cup measurer had to work for everything else.
Lots of animal tracks to explore every day. DC brought Bugs Bunny
back with him from his side-trip back to Los Angeles. (See Photos.)
So we did a little sledding - mostly in our driveway, a little bit in
someone else's, but none on Pine Mountain itself because there wasn't
enough contiguous snow. We did a bit of eating and a lot of TV
watching. (The boys were addicted to Cartoon Network - we don't do
Cable at home.) It was a slow pace and almost relaxing. OK, it was
relaxing.
Can we claim to be still snowed in up there?
