Which brings up the issue of what computer language I should learn that
would be good if I'm working on a magazine geared toward end-users with
a passion for gadgets.

Keep in mind I wish I'd learned Spanish, French, German, and Russian,
but there was some idea I ought to study for those subjects, and I just
couldn't bring myself to do such a thing. I'm not built for it, you
know.
