Are your 'minders' also authorized to carry weapons?
Maybe to fend off the savage hoardes, but perhaps
also to dissuade escape?

Regarding safety, I would completely trust them.
Just try to avoid any solo excursions.. or if you
can't, try to at least bring back some good photos.
