Under the circumstances, it sounds like you did everything you could
have done. Thank goodness it was just one swipe. My guess is you
looked like someone else they'd encountered earlier that evening.
Especially the waiting after hitting you. They wanted your reaction,
see if they could draw the response they were looking for. I hope it
never happens again.
