Re: Party at the Ozzy Zoo (was Re: Welcome Home, John! And, Arabic study.)
Did I RSVP? 'Cause I fully intend to be there. And my husband will be
dropping by for a little while, early on--before he has to represent
the family at the next party over in the Valley (down Woodland Hills
way).
So that's two of us. So with five Oisboids, 1-2 Turleys, a Melnick,
and a Coons, I get 11. Plus all those flakey olives who intend to show
up at the last minute. Then if we Shanghai Dr. Hall, we're up to 12.
And if I alert Caroline, it makes 13. If John brings the Harem of
Platonic Ideals (his dancers and acrobats), we are at 15 or so.
Can someone alert the Trians and the Eadingtons? Obviously, they
aren't spending a lot of time on this site/List. I guess we could
resort to snail mail, or that other thing--it has numbers on it, and
people use it for instantaneous transmission of voice mails. I'm not
sure I remember how to use it, though, unless I'm in my car. Then it
usually comes back to me.
Speaking of my car, I should park it in your driveway so people may
genuflect in the direction of the Holy Surf Wagon as they go by.
Please bring flowers to place in front of it, and candles to burn by
the Shrine of the Faux Woody. Do not park any Oisboid vehicles in the
same driveway, as they are not worthy to share it with the Sacred
2.4-liter 150-horsepower Crown of Creation.
Marinacci should fly on down here: he no longer has poverty as an
excuse for not touching base. And Paul T., as well. If they really
LOVE JOHN, they'll want to hear his North Korea stories now--before
they evolve into tales about how absent-minded DC is, and how he got
Korea mixed up with Kentucky, the poor dear. And then he went there,
but there weren't any hillbillies in Korea at ALL.
I believe I've brought the guest list to a healthy 21 right now. D/D,
you may need to install a second hot tub. I was thinking of a redwood
above-ground model, over by the vegetable garden--maybe one like Joya
and Bob's. I'm sure if you crank you could get it installed in the
next two days. After all, it's for a good cause. Hurry, please. We'll
call it the "Sanctuarian Tub."
