The distribution company doesn't want to talk about it any more, for fear
that the theaters will just yank the film if they (or the producers) make
too much noise about this, so we don't know how widespread the phenomenon
was before they pulled the plug--except that they received 50 complaints
before they pulled the plug, and at least 10 theatres were implicated.
I had bad experiences at two, the names of which I will supply to you
privately. But I do not know whether these incidents were orchestrated by
the managers there, or by employees.
I'm just making noise right now, since that's the only way to combat these
pranks.
