Hah! First post of 2009. Happy new year everyone! Here's wishing
everyone a healthy, happy, and successful year-to-be.
Thanks to everyone who did manage to swing by our Ozzy Zoo last night.
It was a lot of fun and we really enjoyed having you over, even for
the short times available to you. Good food, good friends, and sadly
no hot tubbing. It's probably just as well there weren't as many
adults because it gave the dozen or so pre-teen boys that much more
room to dash about with Nerf(tm) guns, when they weren't hogging the
computers or hand-held Gameboys and such.
Joy, you'll be happy to hear we did manage to stay up past midnight.
And a bit beyond. Since we had a sleepover, the boys were all anxious
to try out this wonderful thing called an "all-nighter". Fortunately
by about 2:30 am they were slow enough to accept The Mom Of The
House's demands to at least get into sleeping bags and turn off the
lights - and all electronic items. Unfortunately they were up again
at 7 am. (I'm not quite sure if those early birds ever did get any
sleep...)
