We're back! I have a STACK of work on my desk, and we haven't
touched anything in the house, but I wanted to say hello.

I've switched to daily digest from no mail, so I can/will actually
read the olive email now ...

Re: olive plant films - right now would be a bad time to ask the
landlord for anything. He apparently was "shocked" at how the house
looked with all the boxes of ceremony items and bags of food the
weekend before the reception (luckily, my mother assured him it was
just because of the wedding, and since she had cleaned up in our
absence, he wasn't bothered by how the place looks now, I guess ...)

Re: the rancho up the street. Yes, Rancho Zamarripa (Zamarippa?) is
very odd, with its flesh-colored-painted Greco-Roman statues and
imposing gates and scattered kids' toys, etc. I don't know much
about them except a couple times a year they throw huge parties with
loud music, and their yard is sometimes full of hopping bunnies which
I guess they own and let out to play.

Hawaii is glorious. I highly recommend it. I also highly recommend
passion fruit.

Love to all,

Joya
