I see Rachel Corrie as a misguided soul whose naïveté led to her untimely
death.
But I ask again, WHY the double standard?
Where was she when twenty eight people were massacred at a Passover Seder?
Where was she when twenty teenagers ( by a mere 5 min would have included my
cousin) were killed in a Pizzeria.
I do not support everything that the Sharon government does, but they are
defending themselves against people who simply want the deaths ( or
conversion)of all Westerners, especially us Jews... They are trained from
the age of six to be "martyrs".Check out the literature of Hizbollah and
other Islamic groups. This is certainly not all Moslems, but it is goal the
people who are carrying out these outrages.
It would be just as bad under a more Liberal Israeli government.
Rachel Corrie was not Julia Butterfly Hill. And she was certainly not a
pacifist. And it was tragic accident.
Unlike those massacres at Passover and at the Pizzeria.
