The Olive Political Compass Test
It is late at night, and I am trying to get more tired, so I thought that I would lay down all of our scores on the political compass test. Once again, I am taking social science classes, so I take to this quite well
As a quick review, remember the higher the number ( positive or negative), the deeper you are in that quadrant, meaning the more Left/.Libertarian, Right/Authoritarian, Right/Libertarian, Left/Authoritarian you are
It was easy, because we were all in the Libertarian Left quadrant. ( LL) Let me emphasize, we are all quite similar in our ideologies And yet, there are some surprises:
MIKE:
Economic Left/Right: -0.88
Libertarian/Authoritarian: -1.49
LENNY:
Economic Left/Right: -2.12>
Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.54>
DEAN:
Economic Left/Right: -2.75
Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.77
DEBBIE:
Economic Left/Right: -2.71
Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.52
JOHN:
Economic: -6.12
Lib/Auth: -4.82
As you can see, Mike, while still in the LL quadrant, is the least LL. I am MORE LL than Mike, but I am slightly LESS LL than Dean and Debbie, ( although I am closest to the Oisboids overall on this chart.)
John's case is strange. ( Is anyone surprised by that?) He is more economically Left than any of us. Yet he is LESS Libertarian than anyone other than Mike.
So while we are all in the LL quadrant, Mike is a couple of blocks closer to being a Right-winger, and John is nearly a Commie.
L
I plan to send this test out to others. It will be interesting to see if another quadrant comes up
